This is just a little section I decided to put in describing my general beliefs when it comes to writing Danny Phantom fics. You'll find these used throughout all the fanfics I write, whether they're explicitly stated or not. You of course don't have to believe them, but just know that I do and will therefore use them in my fics.

And let it also be known that these are constantly being updated as I figure more things out or remember more of them, or even realize more of them, as it happens constantly.

:bulletgreen: Danny's powers are genetically based. His DNA has been rearranged to where his DNA strand is a mix of human and ghost DNA, the most prevalent being associated with the form he's currently in.

:bulletgreen: Danny bleeds both red and green at all times, just in his human form it's mostly red and in his ghost form it's mostly green.

:bulletgreen: Danny cannot pass through a ghost shield in human form due to the lingering ghostly DNA and ectoplasm in his blood. (I know he does it in the tv show a lot, but it just makes more sense this way. Plus, all the other inventions work around him as a human, so why shouldn't this one?)

:bulletgreen: When a ghost, Danny does not need to breathe, eat, drink, or sleep and therefore cannot feel hungry or thirsty and only feels tired after using too much energy (if he went ghost and just sat in his bed without using any powers he would never feel tired nor need to sleep). He is also impervious to any forms of radiation and extreme temperatures. When a human, however, he is no longer impervious and requires the four necessities.

:bulletgreen: Danny's temperature is always a little below normal even as a human due to his half dead status.

:bulletgreen: Ghost hunting is passed through the Fenton line from generation to generation. As such they have created a code of conduct for all aspiring Fenton Ghost Hunters to abide by. They take this code quite seriously, never doubting it's truth (unless of course you're Jack or Maddie and you find out your son's a ghost). Among such beliefs are that ghosts are evil and that it is a ghost hunter's duty to hunt and capture all ghosts, no matter who they once were. More about this to come in the first entry of LDPP.

:bulletgreen: Jack has a brother named Jerry who didn't want to be a ghost hunter and was thus kicked out of the family. He's now a professor of archeology in Egypt and doing quite well.

:bulletgreen: Although I may not mention it and it may not be an important part of the story, I will always use DannyXSam pairing. I'm not usually one for putting romance into a story unless there's a good reason, but I guess it's good to know that it'll always be there in the background.

:bulletgreen: In response to my beliefs on Danny and Valerie's relationship (since this is going to be very important in Tortured Revenge): Valerie has a crush on Danny and still really likes him, but knows it's impossible to date him (as expressed in Flirting with Disaster) but Danny, while having a crush on her once before, is now over it and just sees her as a very good friend. As such he doesn't want to lose her friendship with her not because he has a crush on her but because he doesn't want to lose one of the few friends he has.

:bulletgreen: In referece to Jazz (which will be important later): I know there are about a million possibilities for her future occupation, however, I've always seen her as a true psychologist. I know they say she wants to be a brain surgeon and they've hinted that she'll become a ghost hunter, but I really see her leaving that to her brother and making it more or a hobby than an actual profession. I also see her as becoming a psychologist in the end, but flipping between that and a brain surgeon for most of her high school career.

:bulletgreen: And about Dan. This is important now, since I've just revealed him as the main bad guy in ASU. And this may be a completely general belief, but it's still going up anyways. At this moment, Danny is not destined to turn into Dan. As long as he doesn't split his human half from his ghost half, he won't turn evil. Dan, however, still exists since as they say in TUE, he exists outside of time now, so he exists, but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll turn into him. Now, I'm not saying he'll never turn evil and his life's all sunshine and stuff, but as long as he stays in one piece, he's fine (which may or may not happen in ASU!) Also an important tidbit of information, if Danny happens to, oh for the sake of argument let's say develop the power to make things explode and telekinesis, the only way Dan would be able to acquire such abilities is if Danny was going to turn into him, since then that would affect Dan's past and would thus affect him, even if he does exist outside of time because the past is what created him, and thus it'll change him. So then the important thing is, does Dan have Danny's new powers in ASU or not?...

:bulletgreen: I've decided that Amity is in Oregon. There are two pretty good reasons for why I believe this. 1) In "Fanning the Flames" they're preparing to take the Northwestern 9 Testing, indicating that they live somewhere in the Northwest. 2) I used that information and looked up on the computer and the only Amity in the Northwest is in Oregon near Portland (at least, I think it was near Portland, but it was in Oregon). Therefore, in my opinion, Amity is in Oregon and will be located there for all my stories.

:bulletgreen: Ghost powers are a dominant genetic trait. Since ghosts are more powerful than humans, it would make sense that their genes are more powerful than human genes as well, thus they would be a dominant trait. So, due to this fact, his children have a fifty percent chance of becoming half ghost. But the purity of the ghost powers would decrease as the lineage was passed on, due to repeated blending with more human DNA. So, in five hundred years, a Fenton descendant with ghost powers will still have a fifty percent chance of having a child with ghost powers, but they may only have one percent of Danny's full power capacity.

:bulletgreen: The Ghost Portal can never be turned off. If the portal could be turned off, Danny would never let it remain on, seeing as how it is the source of all the ghost attacks and thus his constant problems. Therefore, the portal cannot be turned off. It's stabilized and will remain that way. So, sorry to disappoint Mary Sue's everywhere, but the Fenton Ghost Portal will never make another half ghost because it'll never be turned off. It is forever a portal to the Ghost Zone and entering it will always take you to the Ghost Zone and not turn you into a half ghost. Unless there's a power outage...then all the above is null and void...

Hope you enjoyed this =D I totally love thinking about all these things, so expect them to go up a lot, as well as a lot of them turning into LDPP's (Lessons in Danny Phantom Philosophy).

Anywho, hope you find these as interesting as I do! =D

I agress with all of this...XDD

I usually estimate Danny's healthy tempereature to abe about, say, 94.5. That's about right.

^_^ Very true

Although, I was thinking, in human form he can pass through the ghost shield, although it might cause a bit of pain. Other than that, I agree with all of it. :D

I've seen fanfics where in ghost form, Danny says he's thirsty or hungry... it's kinda sad... :giggle:

True all the way! :D I have those same beliefs on Danny Phantom as well. :)

Life is like luck... It doesn't last forever...
A whole lot of these are same as I...and yet a lot are different, such as Danny's blood color and Jazz. Big on Jazz. I think much MUCH differently on Jazz then most people.

About the oregon thing. Like all the rest of my family lives up there so i can do a bit of reserch to see like how long it may take to get to Wisconsin from portland (were they live) I never thougth they lived there, because, in fact it rains a lot. It's never rained in DP. But you idea is very good

What're your thoughts on Jazz? Now I'm curious...

It's approximately 1700 miles...yes, I did research this at one point...for TT actually... I know, I'm crazy...

Glad you enjoy them though!

Yay! :w00t: It's good to see that other people belive the same thing, since that usually indicates that they're usually a true belief...

Yeah, I can definitely see where you're coming from with the ghost shield thing, but I just like the fact that Danny can't pass through it at all, makes it a lot more fun, especially when his parents put one up while he's outside of it... I think it just makes for more fun and awkward moments, and it kinda makes scientific sense... =D

Really? Oh man... Personally, were I a half ghost, I wouldn't like eating as a ghost just because since ghosts don't really have any internal organs to speak of (since they have no need) I wouldn't know where my food was going as I ate it... That would be weird...

Yeah, that sounds like a good temperature. Just low enough for it to be weird but not too low where he should technically be suffering from hypothermia.

And I'm glad you agree! It's nice to see that people agree, since that means that they're probably generally right... =D

I agree with you totally... except the last one... I myself believe that Amity is in the Midwest. Now I'm not saying that it's not possible for it to be somewhere else. But, in RT it had a lot of farm area clips (ie: leaving for Cape Canveral Floriada, Where he finds his parents) I also know that it could be anywhere where there's a farm but, also keep in mind the accent. And their way of speaking. (ie: 'You wanna come with?' instead of 'You wanna come with us?' there's a big difference)

So with that being said.... The rest I agree totally on.*sighs as she knows that she could go on all day with the above argument....*

Yeah, I definitely can see your point, but I still stand by Oregon, just because of the Northwest 9 testing thing. Though the midwest would make more sense to why Jack and Maddie went to UWM, though they easily could have moved, but then again, who would move out of Wisconsin? *looks at her house in Arizona, recalling that she and her family lived in Wisconsin for two years* :O_o: Well, in my defense it wasn't my choice...

Anywho, I definitely see the farmland and accent part, though like I said Jack and Maddie most likely lived in Wisconsin because that's wehre they went to college and could easily have moved. My friends say I still have an accent and I only lived there for the first two years of my life...

Grr...stupid Amity location...that's one question I want to ask Butch Hartman if I ever meet him...
