Woohoo! Got it done in time!
I was really worried I wouldn't get this done in time for the deadline
This is for the Collaborative Fanbook Project for...well a lot of people, but mainly DPO and #DP-RealFans
. It's basically a large fanbook being constructed for DP writer Steve Marmell.
Now, it was told to us that Steve Marmell's a big Packer fan and I've had this idea in mind since last year actually when Favre said he was going to retire but didn't, but since it's official this year I decided this was a perfect time to bring that idea forward!
I don't know how well you can see the newspaper, but it's basically the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel alerting the public of Favre's retirement, which would of course crush Vlad as much as it did the rest of us seeing how huge a Packer fan he is
And for the record, the two cheeseheads are Vlad and I, and the another is whoever's looking at the pic at the time, if they are a cheesehead of course.
In addition though, this is also my way of saying goodbye to Favre. Like the Packers or hate them, you can't deny that Favre was one of the best quarterbacks football's ever seen. He holds ever top honor a quarterback can possibly hold and you have to admit that says a lot. Packer football and even football in general won't ever be the same without him and this upcoming season's going to be so hard to watch without that star number 4 out there on the field tearing it up
So as well as a gift for the wonders that Steve Marmell has done in regards to DP, this is also a tribute to a great football player that made the Green Bay Packers what they are today. Brett Favre, I saulte you.
Lessee...a few clarifications... Yes, I know the anatomy's screwy, but I did the drawings really really fast. Yes, I know it's kinda bland in presentation, but again, I did it really fast (I just remembered this idea and started working on it the day before yesterday so I was kinda on a crunch and I'm sure it shows >.<) That and I despise backgrounds and really didn't know what else to put in the scene...
Also, I know that Favre kinda looks like Dash, and that wasn't intended as anything symbolic of their personalities or anything, just that Favre has always had a very short haircut and that was just the best hairstyle I could find that worked. So he wasn't supposed to look like Dash, he just ended up coming out that way because I found their hairstyles similar. Oh, and the signature isn't real either! I'm sure you all probably know that but I think I need to clarify that for legal purposes. I found it online and copied it and it is in no way real or authentic.
And Vlad...don't even get me started on him. I really hate the shape of his head and can't draw it right to save my life so sorry if his head looks really oddly shaped. This was my first time ever drawing him so please, cut me some slack >.<
So...I think that's it for now. Kinda long note I know but there's a lot I wanted to say in regards to it.
And now...disclaimers...I know there are going to be a lot of those...
